Dov arrived in Budapest during Passover of 1942. He met Asher Arni and joined the “Dror Habonim” movement. After the Germans invaded Hungary on 19.3.1944, he dug fortifications in the suburbs of Budapest.
In the fall of 1944 Asher Arni enlisted him in the underground activities of the movement. Dov supplied food and equipment to hiding places and bunkers. After the liberation he took part in finding and taking care of orphaned Jewish children. In 1946 Dov left Hungary and stayed in the Cyprus and Atlit (Palestine) camps. At the end of 1947 he arrived in Kibbutz Ein Harod within the framework of the “Gárdos” Group. He was among the founders of Kibbutz Parod. He wrote a book: “From My Father’s House to Parod”, 1993.
